Dodgers vs. Pirates Line Movement

1u - Dodgers Double Result / Dodgers Over 1.5 Team Total (-130) (Bet $130 to Win $100)

*Odds Available at DraftKings at Time of Publishing*

You can make this on DK for -130 or on MGM for -135, I like it either way. Make sure not to take the double result on Caesars because for whatever reason they define that as four innings/moneyline and not five. We want the full five innings here to get this lead. The normal double result for the Dodgers in this one is -165 so we’re getting a bargain here. The Dodgers to score 2+ runs should be a given for this bet to hit. The only way the double result hits but the runs don’t is an early 1-0 lead and no more runs the rest of the way. Very unlikely.

The Dodgers are pitching Julio Urias who gave up 11 hits last time versus the Pirates. Despite that, he only allowed two runs. He is due for some positive regression against them because I really don't think that can be replicated twice. All of Urias's earned runs props are set at 1.5 so the books know he will likely bounce back today.

The Pittsburgh bats are worse against lefties with only a .218 average. If you disregard Urias’s first start, you would see that he has only allowed 10 runs in his last 45 innings. That’s exactly 2 runs per nine innings, with him likely to only go 5 or 6 it wouldn’t come as a surprise if he only allows one run today.

Pittsburgh is pitching Mitch Keller who is a walking batting practice. Mitch has over a 6 ERA and has allowed 11 hits in his 14 duels with Dodgers batters, that’s less than ideal for him. Although I don’t think they maintain their .785 average I think they knock some runs off of him. Keller last year against the Dodgers allowed four runs in less than three innings of work.

The Dodgers losing last night makes me more confident they are motivated to not lose the series. This is probably my top play of the day despite it being a 1u play as well. Lead after 5 innings, win the game, and score 2+ runs. They are over -300 favorites again!
