The Cleveland Guardians and the Baltimore Orioles will battle it out on Friday night from Camden Yards. The Guardians and Orioles both entered the season slated to finish towards the bottom of the American League. The Guardians made a lot of moves in the last couple of seasons to rebuild the team after a short stint as one of the best teams in the American League. The one guy that did not leave those great teams was Jose Ramirez. Ramirez is one of the best third basemen in the league and has been outstanding to this stage in the season. He will be a tough matchup for the Orioles tonight as he has been a tough matchup for every team he has faced this season.
The Orioles knew this would be a tough season, but they have made some noise this year. This is a young team who is looking to turn the corner as they have really struggled in the last decade. We should have a good pitching matchup tonight as the Guardians send former Cy Young award winner Shane Bieber to the bump, and he will be opposed by Orioles left-hander Bruce Zimmerman. Bieber has been really good this year but has not got a lot of run support. Zimmerman has been up and down this year and will look to be locked in tonight.
I am taking my favorite bet in baseball; the hits, runs, and errors under. Shane Bieber is one of the best arms in the game, and I expect him to shut down this Orioles lineup today. The Orioles do not have a ton of threats in the lineup despite playing better this season. The Guardians bats are also nothing to typically worry about as they have a lot of holes in the lineup.
