The Red Sox came into this season expected to be a playoff team but had a lot of struggles early on in the season. The Sox were one of the best teams in all of baseball just a season ago, shocking the league and making it to the American League championship.

This is a lineup that is deep and filled with power, led by young third baseman Rafael Devers. The Sox improved their lineup in the offseason when they landed one of the biggest names on the market in Trevor Story. Story really struggled at the beginning of the year but had a great two-week stretch to get himself back to form.

The Oakland As blew up their team in the offseason. They moved on from all-stars Matt Olson and Matt Chapman along with their best pitcher in Chris Bassist. Two of their starting outfielders also left in free agency. This is a whole new team with a lot of young players on it.

The As we're expected to be one of the worst three teams in the majors and we have seen why at times this season. Tonight we will see the Red Sox ace Nathan Eovaldi who is fresh off a complete game on Saturday against Baltimore. He will be opposed by James Kaprielian. 

I am backing the Sox on the -1 line. We have made a lot of money on the Sox this season as I think I have found a lot of good sports to back this team, and here is another one tonight. The Red Sox fell behind script to start the year, so these kinds of games are pivotal against bad teams with their Ace.

This is one of the more square plays that I have made this year, but I do trust the better arm here tonight. Oakland is offensively challenged to begin with, and the stuff that Eovaldi presents should limit their scoring tonight. I think the Sox will get it done for us tonight!
