San Francisco Giants vs Colorado Rockies Prediction
Carlos Rodon has been so good to me everytime we bet him. He is such a great pitcher and especially at home. Rodon has a 2.35 ERA at home and has already shown to be effective at home against the Rockies. He played this same Colorado team on May 9th and San Francisco lead 3-2 after five innings which would be good enough for a cash. Rodon sometimes has an issue not getting run support but with who these Giants bats are facing, this should be no problem.
Pitching for the Rockies tonight is German Marquez. This dude stinks at home and on the road, he doesn’t mind where he wants to be bad. He has 6.64 ERA at home and more importantly for our bet tonight a 6.89 ERA on the road, just awful. Marquez has not faced the Giants yet this season but towards the end of last season he matched up against them and got absolutely annihilated.
The righty allowed seven runs in four innings, that’s not exactly good. We don’t need him to poop his pants that bad, just don’t turn into Sandy Koufax and I feel like our bet should have a good shot. Marquez has allowed 18 RBI’s in 118 at-bats by these Giants bats which is good for an RBI every seven at-bats or so. This would probably project him to allow three runs or through five innings and if Rodon hasn't allowed more than two at home all year.
Rockies are notoriously only good at Coors as well. Rockies are 7-15 on the road and now face an ace and great lineup, this shouldn’t bode well for them. Giants also hit righties better than they hit lefties as they hit righties at a .246 clip. I don’t see Marquez pitching well and Rodon is a great home pitcher, sometimes bets don’t have to be too complicated. Both teams had yesterday off and had to travel from the east coast to the west coast so I don’t think travel will play a factor into this one too much, give me the better team in every way to lead by one or more after five innings.
