Milwaukee Brewers vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction: Can Zach Eflin Shutdown the Brewers Lineup?
I only like two bets tonight and the first one doesn't start until 7:10pm ET. Normally that's not a problem but today is Thursday and they start playing baseball today at 12:35pm ET. Now normal people probably can wait until the night games with no problem. But dedicated gamblers like you and me need to have action before that. Dedication means not sitting through an entire afternoon of baseball with no action. Dedication means going back through the lines and finding something to bet on since baseball will be on our televisions in the afternoon tonight. We can't just let these guys play for nothing. The haters are going to say that we're only betting this one because it's on in the afternoon. We are. So what? That's what dedicated gamblers do. They gamble.
Let's dive into my player prop pick, prediction, and the odds for the Brewers vs Phillies game.

Milwaukee Brewers vs Philadelphia Phillies Player Prop
Zach Eflin 6+ Strikeouts (+102) (Bet $100 to win $102)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
This one at FanDuel and it's kind of important we play it there. As I type, DraftKings has this same exact bet for -130. That's a ridiculous price difference. BetMGM legit has -150. I have no idea what's going on but it won't last. My best guess is the lineups are leaked and everyone with a brain is taking the over.
Milwaukee Brewers vs Philadelphia Phillies Prediction
Zach Eflin is one of my favorite Zachs in MLB by far. He's a guy that can fly under the radar since he's only struck out 45 guys in 51 innings of work so far this season so the books really aren't on to him. Smart of him to keep them off of his trail. The thing the books forgot is that Zach is a daytime guy. With all the other Zachs in MLB, I can see how they can mix them all up but this one has 20 Ks in just 16.2 daytime innings this season. That's legit.
Now Eflin's game logs are all over the place this season but that is probably just him keeping the books honest. He's already proven that if he wants to sit 12 guys down in a single game, he can do it. He did that against the Los Angeles Dodgers a few weeks ago. Daytime game too (nbd). He's only hit six strikeouts in a game twice this season but both happened in his last three starts. This plane is just now taking off people.
Today he gets a Milwaukee Brewers team that has struck out fourth most in MLB this season. Over the last two weeks, no team has struck out more so they could catch the leaders soon. They take their strikeouts seriously in Milwaukee. No messing around. I haven't seen a lineup yet but I'd be shocked if they could put one together that didn't have at least six guys that all whiff 25+% of the time. This could be the greatest "bet just because it's on" play I've ever seen.
