Well guys I'm back with some of my best bets for this evening's MLB slate. Let's dive into my prediction, pick, and odds for the Atlanta Braves vs. Pittsburgh Pirates.
Atlanta Braves vs Pittsburgh Pirates Prediction
We cashed in on the Braves yesterday on Twitter and I am going right back to them tonight as they host the Pittsburgh Pirates in game one of this series as they continue their homestand. They are now on a seven-game winning streak and sending one of their best to the bump tonight as southpaw Max Fried has the ball. He has been having an excellent opening stretch to his 2022 campaign here and seems to be getting stronger.
Fried is 5-2 sporting a 2.74 ERA on 69 innings pitched this season; he has struck out 61 and walked just 12. His expected slash line against is below .400 this evening so it appears to be a strong matchup for the lefty and I like the run support he should have. JT Brubaker has been getting mauled this season; he has walked twice as many batters in fewer innings pitched and is sporting a 4.71 ERA. Pittsburgh has done some good things and is playing more competitive ball but the Tribe is rolling and I expect that to continue in the series opener this evening.
I also love this total here for a multitude of reasons so we are on that as well.

Minnesota Twins vs New York Yankees Prediction
Let's dive into my prediction, pick, and odds for the Minnesota Twins vs New York Yankees.
The New York Yankees just suffered their worst loss of the season last night in an ugly 8-1 loss but they are in an excellent position to rebound here. Gerrit Cole is on the mound for the Yankees and despite some past transgressions on his end, I will forgive him. The man can pitch and I think he is poised for a good outing; he should have plenty of run support to back him as well.
Dylan Bundy has been awful this season and has arguably been worse in his career against these batters from the Bronx this evening. On 131 plate appearances, which is a very strong sample size, they have been strong and the expected slash line this evening (xwOBA .398/xBA.290/xSLG.563) is very appealing to me. I think the Bronx Bombers go for vengeance here this evening and notch win number 41 on the season.
