Thursday Longshot MLB Parlay: Cash in With This 3-Leg +1024 Parlay

I am not a big advocate of parlays but there is absolutely nothing wrong with throwing together a longshot and putting a few dollars on it. Let's break down each of the legs and get into all of the odds for the MLB slate today.

First Leg: Yankees -1.5 -120

The Yankees are coming off a very disappointing game against the Twins as they got blown out. It was probably Nestor Cortes's worst start of the season to this point and while he may have been due for some negative regression, it was definitely a surprise how poorly he threw yesterday. Tonight, the Yankees look to bounce back with their ace on the mound in Gerrit Cole and I think he is in line to have a very solid game tonight. The Twins have some star power with Byrun Buxton, Carlos Correa, and Jorge Polanco but they strike out a ton which does not make for a good matchup against Cole who has some nasty stuff. I think the Yankees bats wake up today and jump on Bundy early and won't look back behind a strong performance from Cole.

Second Leg: Pirates +1.5 +127

There is really no analytical data to tell you to bet the Pirates in this spot, but the Pirates have been Giant killers recently. They won five out of their six games against the Dodgers and won most of those in fairly convincing fashion. Max Fried is an excellent pitcher and has been throwing really well over the last month but his splits for whatever reason take a slight dip when pitching at home. I think the Pirates may catch the Braves napping here to start this series in a similar fashion to how they caught the Dodgers napping. I think this will be a much closer game than most people may anticipate.

Third Leg: Angels -1.5 +170

Yes, I am aware of the Angels' long losing streak but there is no better time to break it than today. They have Ohtani on the hill who has pitched much better at home during his tenure with the Angels and I have to think he will bring his best stuff tonight to try and break this long losing streak. I really like the price on Angels 1.5 here with Ohtani because ML is basically a PK and the probability that the Angels win by exactly one run to cash the ML but screw the RunLine is very low. I also think Pivetta for the Red Sox is due for some negative regression after a very hot couple of starts and no better time for him to cool off than today with the public heavily backing him and the Red Sox against this struggling Angels team.
