Cole comes into this game with a 5-1 record and an impressive 2.78 ERA. He is also coming off a start where he took a perfect game into the seventh inning against the Tigers where he looked absolutely dominant in all facets from start to finish.
Overall, on the season, Cole has also pitched very well on the road as he comes into this contest with a 3-0 record and a stellar 2.67 ERA. His opponent's batting average has also been very impressive in his road starts as opponents are only hitting .196 against him in those contests.

The Yankees as a whole have also done a very good job of not letting poor performances snowball into long-losing streaks either as they are currently 40-16 on the season and have only lost back-to-back games on two separate occasions with a season-long losing streak of three games. That really speaks to the mental fortitude of this current group that may not have been there in years past.
With new leaders in the clubhouse like Rizzo and Donaldson, coupled with the exceptional play of the Cole/Judge, you get a Yankees squad that is truly elite. Elite teams do not lose multiple games in a row so the question is will they bounce back here tonight and grab a win to end the series? And I believe the answer is Yes.
I fully expect a much better approach from the Yankees lineup tonight similar to the approach they had in Game 1. I would like to think last night was just an anomaly from Chris Archer having the best stuff he had had all year and not a negative mark against the Yankees offense.

But tonight, they will face Dylan Bundy, who after getting off to a hot start, has really struggled against elite competition. In Bundy's last start against the Blue Jays, he was hit very hard as he allowed eight hits, five earned runs, two homers, and walked one before exiting the game after only completing 2 and 1/3rds innings. Bundy isn't a flamethrower and really relies on getting soft contact for outs with a pristine location so if he misses his spots, it could be bombs away for the Bronx Bombers.
With that being said, I am rolling with Yankees F5 -0.5 at -132 for 1U as my most confident MLB Play of the Night as I think the Yankees get off to a good start against Bundy and take a lead into the sixth inning.
