St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction: Back the Birds at Home
Well, I am back home in St. Louis at the moment, so I have a first-hand grasp on the weather situation here in this one today; we are golden, it is perfect weather for baseball here at the moment in St. Louis and I expect the birds to play a good ballgame today.
St. Louis Cardinals vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction
On Tuesday they were just one pitch away from victory in game one of their last series in a tight one with the Tampa Bay Rays when they lost on a walk off homerun that slammed into the foul pole. They then dropped both of the next two games and were swept in the series to finish the road trip but they were not entirely at full strength. Tyler O’Neill was activated in the last series and is already making noise with the lumber again; Dylan Carlson was also activated after a productive rehab stint and the St. Louis Cardinals lineup looks strong right now.

Luis Castillo has pitched well but is not necessarily what I would consider a high ceiling pitcher; he has been in the league for a few seasons, we know what he has to offer and I think he is due for a bit of regression. In line with that reasoning, I am going to play my first K prop of the season and it plays in line with our side; I think Castillo’s strikeout total is a little high for how little the birds have been striking out. Young guys are out there right now and doing well but still fighting for spots across the board; these guys are taking great at bats and I think they continue to do so tonight.
The bullpen is fully rested, look for the Cardinals to get back in the win column tonight In the series opener.
