Cincinnati Reds vs Arizona Diamondbacks Preview

The Cincinnati Reds vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks will take place on Tuesday night from Arizona for Game 1 of this series. The Reds took Game 2 last night and will look to continue their winning ways here as they send one of their best arms to the mound in the form of Tyle Mahle.

Mahle has thrown the ball really well at times and has been brutal at times, having an up and down kind of season. The Reds started as one of the worst teams in the MLB in the past few seasons, but they have turned it around a bit, making their record somewhat respectable. This is a team who moved on from three all-star position players in the offseason and one of their top pitching arms. They knew this would be a long season, and it has been.

Meanwhile, The D-Backs came into the year not slated to make much noise out of the NL West. They started the year pretty hot, but they have come back to earth. I am backing the D Backs tonight on the money line. Mahle has turned in much better numbers on the road the last couple of seasons, and yet he is a dog tonight. I believe this line read suggests the D backs here at home. Davies has shown when he is on, he can eat up innings and turn in solid outings, and that is what I expect from the right-hander tonight.
