Daytime baseball calls for daytime action. Everyone knows that. There's just something about a mid-week daytime baseball game that makes people want to gamble. It's so natural. We should just embrace it. Lucky for us, the Cincinnati Reds and Arizona Diamondbacks take the field at 3:40 pm ET today.
Not only are they playing, but the game is on MLB Network. We can watch this thing people. The only thing better than a daytime MLB game being played is one being played on television. They teach you that on the first day of gambling school. What's even better is we have a bet in this one that has no chance of losing. We're legit living the dream here people.

Arizona Diamondbacks vs Cincinnati Reds Best Bets
Luis Castillo Over 5.5 Strikeouts (-116) (Bet $116 to win $100)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
This one is at FanDuel and I highly recommend people play it over there. The people at DraftKings are running us over the coals for this one charging us poor gamblers -140 for the same 5.5 number. It's crazy. We can't afford that. Not in this economy. For what it's worth, BetMGM isn't much better as they have -135. It's tough to catch a break with this one unless you are at FanDuel.
Arizona Diamondbacks vs Cincinnati Reds Prediction
Let me tell you a little something about Luis Castillo. The man single-handedly won me a fantasy baseball league when I used to play fantasy baseball. It's a long story but just know, that he was a key cog in that victory machine. I know everything there is to know about this guy and almost all of it is good. The best part about him is the fact that he has learned to fly under the radar as he's only got 37 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched this season. He's figured out "the way".

In his last four starts, Castillo has overcome a slow start to the season. My guess is he was just keeping the books off of his trail but he never hit six strikeouts in any of his first three starts. Since then, he's gone for at least six in three of four starts. The only time he didn't doesn't even count since it was against the Cardinals and they don't strike out. In my book, he's still on a three-game six-K streak. Gotta love a guy on a heater.
Bet $10, Win $200 on any MLB Moneyline
Today he gets an Arizona Diamondback team that is perfect for keeping a heater going. First off, this is a day game and nobody in MLB has struck out more than the Diamondbacks in day games. It's kind of sad because they've only played 28-day games when the next four on the list have all played 30+. My guess is these guys like to party so day games can be tough. Not their fault. The thing is the last time Castillo pitched during the day he fanned six Washington Nationals. They've struck out less than any team in MLB during the day this season. Castillo is sitting six guys down today.
