Chicago Cubs vs. San Diego Padres Prediction: Ride Caleb Kilian Tonight Against the Padres
Gambling makes every day better. Everyone knows that. But here's what gambling connoisseurs everywhere know. The time of the games make a big difference. For instance, if you have a bet going at 3:40pm ET, you're going to need another one at some point in the night. The afternoon bet legitimately can't be the last one of the day. That's dumb. What I like to do is try to get something going for the 5:00pm ET slot. If I can't do that, then I wait for the 8:00pm ET games and hammer away. It gives me a chance to get something to eat and mentally prepare myself for more action. Everyone does it differently but if you are an 8:00 guy like me, I have the perfect move that we can even tell our friends about. We can also ladder this guy to the moon if we want. Sky is the limit people.

Caleb Kilian Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-126) (Bet $126 to win $100)
We're at FanDuel here but there are other options too. DraftKings has 3.5 for -130 so if you have to play there, play away. It's fine. The only weird thing about this one is BetMGM doesn't have a number for this kid. That is normally a good sign though since they are not in the business of giving away money to gamblers. As always, FanDuel is letting us ladder so if you want to get wild, 5+ is +190 and 6+ is +430.
Here's the thing about this kid Caleb Kilian. Nobody knows who he is. The books damn sure don't since they saddled him with a 3.5. Let me introduce you. Kilian is a 6'4", 180-pound slinger of the baseball. He's only started once in his career but that's a good thing. The books won't even see him coming until it's too late. If I were the books, I would have hung a 4.5 on him. That's just me. I like a challenge.
Don't let this kid's lack of MLB starts fool you though. In his one career start, Kilian shocked the strike out betting world by fanning six St. Louis Cardinals. People are still talking about that. The Cubs let him through 83 pitches in that game which bodes well for him throwing even more tonight. We could be talking about a 90+ pitch guy here people. On top of that, he's damn near a 10 K/9 guy over his last couple years in the minors. All we need is four here.
The best part of tonight is this kid is getting the San Diego Padres at Wrigley Field. Only five teams in MLB have struck out more than the Padres on the road this season. It's like they leave San Diego and forget how to make contact. There could be six guys in the lineup that fan at least 25% of the time on the season. If I had to guess, we'll get at least four. This kid could easily strike out four of these Padres his first time through the order. Easy bet.
