Despite those injuries, they still hold a five-game lead over the Atlanta Braves for first place in the NL East. The Mets look like, when healthy, they are one of the best teams in the league, and they will look to continue that tonight.
The Brewers know they are a much better team than what they have displayed as of late. They have been ice cold at the plate, and it seems like when they get behind in a game, they have trouble coming back. They have the talent in the lineup. It just has not been clicking for them the last few weeks. They send their best arm to the mound today in the form of Corbin Burnes. Burnes was last year's national league Cy Young award winner. He has not been CY Young good this year but still has shown how dominant he can be when he is Locked in. He will be opposed by south paw David Peterson.
I am backing the Brewers tonight. I know no one wants to back this team right now, but this line is off today. We are getting Corbin Burnes at a tremendous price for how good he is, and Peterson should get smacked around tonight. This is a Brewers team that has one of the best bullpens in all of baseball as well, so if they have a lead late in the game, I feel good about them closing it out. I will take the much better arm here today and bet on a team due to turn it around!
