New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction
David Peterson got hit extremely hard last night and Corbin Burnes was excellent as the Brewers tied this series up at 1 a piece. Tonight the Mets will start young right handed pitcher, Tylor Megill, who is making his second start since coming back from injury.
Megill was absolutely electric in the opening month of April and then got hit around fairly hard against the Nationals, Braves, and Angels on his last 3 starts. Tonight Megill will face a fairly below average Brewers lineup who had really been struggling before their big outburst last night. So the main question tonight will be, Can the Brewers continue to build on their success from last night? Or Will MeGill return back to his April form? I believe we will see the latter.
Megill is a power pitcher with a fastball that get can up to 95-97 MPH. The Brewers are more of an all-or-nothing team who tried to hit the ball out of the ballpark and I think Megill may be in line to rack up some strikeouts tonight against this all-or-nothing Brewers lineup. On the other side for the Brewers is young lefty Aaron Ashby who has really struggled on the road this season.
He comes into this game with a respectable 4.34 Road ERA but is only 1-4 in 5 road starts. This tells me that the Brewers simply don’t give him a lot of run support and just don’t tend to win when he pitches. Ashby also really struggles with walks and losing command at times which doesn’t bode well for him as the Mets are one of the best teams in the league at getting on base.
I think the Mets are going to force Ashby to throw a lot of pitches by working deep into counts and I expect them to come through with runners on base. With that being said, I am rolling with Mets F5 ML at -120 and Mets Full Game ML at -130 for 1U each as my most confident MLB Picks of the night.
New York Mets vs. Milwaukee Brewers Pick
- Mets F5 ML -120 (Bet $120 to win $100)
- Mets ML -130 (Bet $130 to win $100)
