Red Sox vs. Tigers Line Movement

Boston Red Sox vs Detroit Tigers Pick

1u - Detroit Tigers o1.5 Team Total First 5 Innings (-140) (Bet $140 to win $100)

*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*

We have five innings to score just two runs, cmon Tigers I believe in you. I am known for fading my own teams and hedging my happiness but I actually really like this bet tonight. Tigers have had a mini resurgence since Riley Greene entered the lineup, they have scored 23 runs in the last three games. Detroit scores the least runs in the MLB so you might think I’m crazy here but stick with me. The number one reason I like this bet is the Tigers' lefty/righty splits on the season.

We’ve gone over how Detroit scores the least runs in baseball but what I’m about to say may surprise you. Tigers are awful against right-handed pitching, they are hitting .214 against them. But here’s the thing, against lefties they are hitting a shocking .259. I fact-checked this everywhere I could and the rumors are true, this team actually hits lefties really well. Rich Hill is of course a lefty and has already gotten hit by the Tigers this year. Rich Hill’s first start of the season was against Detroit and he allowed three runs in 4.1 innings pitched. We don’t even need to do that, score one less run for all I care and use all up all five innings.

Putting my belief in this team doesn’t come easy so you know I’ve got to actually really like it. Fenway is one of the more hitter-friendly parks as well and should be a nice change of pace from Comerica. I know yesterday that they only scored two runs but that was against a righty. Let's see what this team does against a lefty in this park with the new resurgance of young talent into the lineup. We just need two runs, we’re not asking for them to reinvent the wheel. I don’t believe in “banned lists” but if they can’t do this for us today it is the closest I’ll ever come to having one of those. Let's go Tigers!
