Cincinnati Reds vs Los Angeles Dodgers Prediction

The Dodgers come into this one to the surprise of no one as one of the best teams in all of baseball. This is a team that somehow got even better in the offseason when they inked a contract with one of the best players in baseball, first basemen Freddie Freeman. Freeman has been outstanding for this Dodgers team this season, surrounded by numerous other stars.

This Dodgers team is basically an all-star team when you break them down. One of the guys who has been swept under the rug due to all their big names is starting pitcher Tony Gonsolin. Gonsolin has been so good this season that he is in the conversation for Cy Young. He will very likely be an all-star due to his outstanding numbers. Gonsolin enters play tonight repping an era of 1.42, and he is a perfect 8-0 this season.

He will be opposed by perhaps the best arm of the Reds in the form of Tyler Mahle. Mahle's numbers can be deceiving as he enters play sporting an era of 4.46 but do not let that fool you. He has given up just four runs in his last four starts, including a complete-game shutout last time against the D-Backs. The Dodgers enter play as the favorites tonight. 

I am turning to a prop, and it will be centered around Reds starting pitcher Tyler Mahle. We are going to take Mahle to record over 16.5 outs. So all we need from Mahle is 5.2 innings tonight. I love this spot as I actually think the line tonight suggests the Reds win.

Mahle has been a stud his last four times out, and he is pitching with a ton of confidence at the moment. In his previous four starts, he has gone at least six innings in all of them. This is a guy that can eat up innings and has some great stuff. I expect a strong outing from Mahle and for him to continue his hot run on the mound.
