Handicapper and MLB player prop specialist is back again this Tuesday with another top strikeout prop bet. This time his pick comes from the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs matchup eyeing Matt Swarmer.
ANALYSIS

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction: Will Matt Swarmer Mount Up Strikeouts?

It's strikeout prop betting season people and that's fine with me. Honestly, I like betting on football and basketball better. I can admit that which is big of me. But if we're really being honest here, the pitcher strikeout bet is electric. You can have action, but not have to hang on to every single play. This allows for you to do other things while also gambling which is key for the summer. I don't want to talk crazy here, but having a couple of months off before the football and basketball grind come back is key. As long as we are gambling while we're "taking a couple months off" I think it's alright. Lucky for us, these baseball players play every single day. These guys don't take games off which is big. There are also a ton of them so it's tough for the books to really price them the way they can price other sports. It allows under-the-radar guys like the one we're betting tonight to punch our tickets to the Gambling Hall of Fame. I love this stuff.

Pirates vs. Cubs Line Movement

Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Chicago Cubs Prediction

Matt Swarmer Over 3.5 Strikeouts (-142) (Bet $142 to Win $100)

*Odds Available at FanDuel*

This one is a juice drinkers' dream and it's hanging at FanDuel. But have no fear, if you don't like low-hanging fruit, you can always go over to DraftKings. They're hanging 4.5 (+120) which I think is worth a look too. BetMGM also went the 4.5 route but they only have +115. While that's not as good as DraftKings, it's still playable. Sometimes we have to do what we have to do in this game we play.

We've got another guy in Matt Swarmer that's fighting to get in the Circle of Trust. He's young, but he's a big kid. At 6'5" tall and 195 pounds, I think he would be the tallest member of the Circle of Trust but I'll have to check the records. Still, it's nice to be around tall people. Especially ones that can strike guys out at a rate the books can't price. Those are the best types of tall people to know during the summertime.

I don't really understand this line and it makes me feel like someone at FanDuel is crying out for help. In four starts this season, Swarmer has fanned at least four guys in all four outings. Like why would we be allowed to be this for only -142? What's crazier is that one game was against the St. Louis Cardinals and another was against the New York Yankees. I know he only went 3.1 innings in his last start but he still threw 86 pitches. He just walked everybody that night. It happens. He still fanned four.

Tonight Swarmer will see the Pittsburgh Pirates. Over the last 15 days only one team in MLB has struck out more than they have and that's the Los Angeles Angels. Nobody is catching the Angels people so second place isn't bad. Pittsburgh has a multitude of guys that have fanned 20+% of the time over the last two weeks that could be in the lineup tonight so the bats should keep missing the balls tonight. Not to sound crazy but I would be shocked if this Swarmer kid didn't get at least six Pirates to sit down tonight.
