Oakland Athletics vs. Seattle Mariners Best Bet: Should We Bank on George Kirby to Stack Strikeouts?
People make mistakes in life. They do. That's just how people work. And mistakes. We see them all the time. But the mistake I saw when I woke up this morning is pretty much the worst one I've ever seen in my life. In any aspect. I would equate it to accidentally setting the building on fire at your job. Do you think you would have a job to come back to if you burned the building down? Probably not, which is why the person who messed this up won't be working at DraftKings much longer. It's definitely a sad day for that person and their family but sometimes the only way for us to learn from our mistakes is drastic action. Especially the big mistakes. Ones that could bankrupt the company would certainly qualify here. I still can't even believe this is a real line.

Oakland Athletics vs. Kansas City Royals Prediction
George Kirby Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-115) (Bet $115 to Win $100)
*Odds Available at DraftKings*
We're at DraftKings for this one since FanDuel has caught on to our little game. They went 4.5 (-148) which is playable but at the same time, it's a little expensive. Obviously, if you want a little more bang for your buck you could go 6+ (+144) at FanDuel. You're already logged in so you might as well get some action. I'd say 7+ (+310) isn't even that crazy when you think about it.
The first thing I do every morning is ask Alexa if George Kirby is pitching. It's just the smart thing to do. We all need something to help get us out of bed in the morning and that's my way. It works. This kid is an undercover strikeout machine if you just know when to bet on him. We're talking 41 strikeouts in 43 innings of work here people. But when you break down his game logs, you realize he's exactly what we want out of a Circle of Trust guy.
By my count, this guy has started four teams that I wouldn't bet your money on in terms of strikeouts. The New York Mets, Boston Red Sox (twice), and Texas Rangers. All three of those teams just don't strike out much. On the flip side, he's started four other games against teams I target on the regular (Rays, Athletics, Orioles, Angels) and he hasn't struck out fewer than six in any of those games. We can trust this guy.
Tonight Kirby gets the Athletics on the road. The haters are going to see his home and road splits and think he can't pitch away from home but that's nonsense. He's only pitched on the road four times and three of those games were against the Mets, Red Sox, and Rangers. They don't even count. The other one was against the Baltimore Orioles and he fanned eight of those guys. It's not the venue, it's the team he's throwing against. He's already whiffed nine Athletics in a start this season so I don't see how five will be a problem tonight. This could be the best bet we ever make in our lives.
