Rangers vs. Phillies Line Movement

Texas Rangers vs. Philadelphia Phillies Prediction

1u - Phillies First 5 Moneyline (-145) (Bet $145 to win $100)

*Odds Available at Wynnbet*

I'm drinking the juice for moneyline instead of -0.5. We’ve yet to push on a bet all year but this bet has the potential to do so if they’re tied after five innings. I really believe in Zack Wheeler and he has been a stud as of late. Wheeler has only allowed 9 runs in his last 9 starts. It doesn’t take a mathematician to figure out that it’s only one run a game! Wheeler is the main reason for this bet but I’m a believer in these Phillies bats long-term. There’s just too much talent to not eventually get it going on a consistent basis.

Wheeler against these Texas bats lifetime has only allowed 9 hits in 37 at bats. More importantly, among those 37 at-bats, we’ve only seen one result in an RBI. Wheeler should continue to deal against a Texas team that only hits .234 against righties. Additionally, Bryce Harper is back today which should give the offense a much-needed boost and should help our odds of hitting Jon Gray. I think Gray is a fine pitcher but nobody I’m ever scared to bet against. He’s coming off two great starts in a row allowing 0 and 1 runs in those two games and I think he’s due for a stinker of a start. He hasn’t had 3 straight games allowing 1 run or less since 2018.

The Phillies have the better bats and the better pitcher. The Phillies biggest flaw as a team is that shaky bullpen and we won’t be worrying about that. The added benefit of a push makes me feel confident we at least get out money back. Wheeler has been a stud and Gray is due for a game where he allows at least 2 runs. This is most definitely the play that stood out to me last night glancing at the slate for the first time. I would play the juice all the way to -160 more than likely. No juice no glory! Let's do this.
