The Yankees have not won the World Series since 2009, which feels like fifty years for the Yankees. This is the best Yankees team since that 2009 team in the eyes of many. They are on a historic pace led by slugger Aaron Judge who has put up video game-like numbers this season.
Judge has twenty-seven home runs this season to lead the majors. Combine that with the power of Giancarlo Stanton, who has fourteen home runs this season, and this one of the most feared lineups in all of baseball. The difference this season for the Yankees has been their pitching. They have one of the best staffs in all of baseball, and their bullpen has been outstanding. One of those pitchers who has really helped them this year is southpaw Jordan Montgomery. Montgomery will get the baseball tonight for Aaron Boone, looking to shut down this high-powered Astros offense. Fellow lefty Framber Valdez will oppose him.
I am backing the Yankees tonight on the moneyline. I love this spot at home for the Yankees tonight. We know how good the Yanks have been this year as they are the best team in baseball, but these types of games should bring out the best version of themselves.
