Should Ian Anderson hit his strikeout prop tonight? John Hyslop makes his prediction for Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers.
ANALYSIS

Atlanta Braves vs. Los Angeles Dodgers Best Bet: Backing Ian Anderson Against Los Angeles

We need something before 8:00pm ET and I think I found the move. It took a while to crunch all the numbers. That's just how number crunching works. It takes a lot out of a person. By the end of it, I kept seeing Hank from Barstool Sports when I looked at this guy's profile picture on Baseball Reference. They really don't even look that much alike (they kind of do) but when you're as deep in the crunching as I was, things get blurry. That's how you know this bet is money. People don't go this deep and not come up with something good. The beauty of this thing is that it kicks our gambling night off at 7:20 pm ET. This thing will probably even be cashed by the time our boy Paolo Espino starts mowing down Texas Rangers at 8:00pm ET. I'm calling it now, this could be the greatest night in gambling history.

Ian Anderson Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+114) (Bet $100 to win $114)

We're at FanDuel here since they have the best price. If you have to make moves at Draftkings you can get 4.5 (+110) so it's not much different. The thing about FanDuel is they have ladders. Big ones too. These things go all the way to the moon (some go further) and since you're already logged in, you could check out 6+ strikeouts at +255. It just depends on how awesome you want the day to be.

This guy is a chameleon. Just how we like our pitchers. He's not going to show off and fan 10+ guys in every start and that keeps his number down for us gamblers. Class move by him. In fact, he's only at 59 strikeouts in 70.1 innings of work so far this season. He's the perfect matchup guy since he's always going to be around 4.5 for plus money. Those are my favorite kind of pitchers.

Bet $10, Win $200 on any MLB Moneyline

The thing about Anderson is he can sit guys down left and right if he has the right matchup. He's not sacred to fan nine in a start. He just did in Colorado at the beginning of the month. That game wasn't even the beginning of this guy's heater. Over his last six starts, he's fanned at least five guys in five of those outings. The only time he didn't was against the Washington Nationals but that game doesn't even count because it was the Nationals and they don't even strike out.

Tonight Anderson is getting the Los Angeles Dodgers which isn't the best matchup but it's far from something to be scared about. We're talking about a team that has struck out 48 times in their last 181 at bats. That's 26.5% if you're familiar with math. With Mookie Betts out we don't really know who we'll see in the lineup but I do know there are five guys that are 33+% strikeout guys over the last week. I don't think Anderson will set any records tonight but it's not crazy to think he can sit at least five of these guys down himself.
