Miami Marlins vs. New York Mets Prediction: Riding With Sandy Alcantara

The New York Mets vs. the Miami Marlins will take place from the Sunshine State on Friday night for an NL East showdown. The Mets have been the best team in the National League this season and sit at the top of the NL East. The Marlin's season has not gone as well, but they are trying to get on a little run and get back to being a .500 team.

Braves vs. Dodgers Line Movement

The Marlins have one of the best staffs in all of baseball led by the man getting the ball tonight. Sandy Alcantra has been outstanding this season for the Fish. Alcantara would be my vote right now for NL Cy Young. He is having a career season in era, fip, hits per 9 innings, home runs per nine innings, and innings pitched.

Teams have struggled to get any flow of him this season, and now he is tasked with facing one of the best lineups in baseball. The Mets have been led by Fransico Lindor and Pete Alonso, but all their guys have really stepped up in the Lineup and played their roles to a tee. The Mets have been without their two best arms in Max Scherzer and Jacob Degrom, for the last six weeks. This has allowed the Braves and the Phillies to close the gap on the Met's divisional lead. They will look to get a road win tonight behind Tajuin Walker, who was an all-star just a season ago.

I am backing the Marlins on the first five money line. I love to fade the public here who will be all over the Mets at plus money. The Marlins should be able to get a few early runs off Walker and cruise behind the arm of Alcatra. There has been no pitcher in the MLB that has made us more money this season than Sandy, so I am all over this line today. He knows this roster well, facing them for years, and I expect him to be dominant in this one. Let’s stay hot on the Diamond tonight!
