The Baltimore Orioles battle the Chicago White Sox taking place from the south side on Saturday afternoon. The Orioles have won the first two games of this series as heavy underdogs, led by some great pitching performances. The Sox will look to win this game today and bounce back with Lance Lynn on the mound.
Lynn was a serious candidate for Cy young just a season ago. He is one of Chicago's best arms, and they will need him to step up in this game today to get them back on track. The Sox looked like they were turning the corner but took a couple of steps back so far this series.
The Orioles have been much better than expected this season, and hopefully, for O's fans, this is a sign of what’s to come. This is a young team that has guys who look like they can be the real deal. Chicago has probably been the league's most disappointing team so far this season. This was a team slated to compete for a World Series, and now they look up with a record under the .500 mark. This is a team still favored to make the postseason and within striking distance in the Al Central.
I am going to back the Sox today-1. I know they let us down last night, but we can not be emotional or biased in gambling. This is a perfect bounce-back spot for Chicago today. Lynn should be able to control the ball game and do his thing tonight in front of the Chicago faithful. I also expect Chicago’s offense to finally wake up and make some noise after being held down the last couple of games.
