San Francisco Giants vs. Cincinnati Reds Prediction

1u - Logan Webb To Record A Win (+106) (Bet $100 to win $106)

This is magnificent odds on what has a great chance of happening. Giants head into this game as -245 favorites and we are significantly reducing the juice taking this route. The go-to in situations like this is the double result alot of the time but Logan Webbs projected outs are 19.5 so Vegas thinks he pitches between 6-7 innings. If that’s the case it gives us more time to get the lead than a 1st 5 inning bet. If Logan Webb does qualify and leaves this game with a lead then I have faith in the Giants bullpen. Additionally, the Reds have the absolute worst bullpen in the MLB so there would likely be some added run support.

Logan Webb is a guy we bet on quite frequently, he has paid us more than he has failed us. The man is rocking a 3.26 ERA but an even better 2.74 home ERA. He’s always been a much better home pitcher and I like his odds to absolutely dominate a Reds team that hit righties worse than lefties. Cincinnati doesn’t have the worst batting averages in the league but the team doesn't hit for much power as they rank bottom in 12 in the league in terms of runs scored. Webb has a short but good history vs these bats as they are 0/12 hitting against him in their limited experience. A lack of experience will benefit the pitcher more times than not so I like Webb to come out here and pitch a beauty.

On the mound for the Reds is Mike Minor who has just been abysmal. In four games he has a 6.97 ERA and has allowed 16 runs in 20.2 innings pitched. Minor isn’t in the best spot to straighten up tonight. The Giants may not have the biggest names but the team is solid. They bat nearly .240 against lefties which is fine and have a .306 lifetime against Minor. That stat includes the years that Minor looked more competent on the mound so I expect that number to only balloon higher. The Giants should absolutely not lose two games in a row to this team either as they lost yesterday to them. Better bats, better pitcher and are now due. That’s a bet from me, lets record this win Logan!
