The Chicago White Sox struggled against the Baltimore Orioles over the weekend and are now 34-37 on the season. Now they'll head out west to take on the Los Angeles Angels, who have also struggled throughout the month. The Angels have a 35-40 record and were just involved in the biggest brawl of the season after hitting Jesse Winker or the Mariners with a pitch. Will that scuffle pump the Angels up or will the White Sox find success on the road? Lucas Giolito has been considered an ace for a long period of time. However, this season, the right-hander is 4-4 with a 5.40 ERA.

He's no longer an ace right now.

Giolito will take the mound for the White Sox with a 5.63 xFIP in the last 30 days. He's struck out under 20% of batters in the last 30 days and has allowed 26.1% of line drives.

He's also not inducing even 30% of ground balls in the last 30 days and has a BABIP of .388 while walking 8.7% of batters.

He's lucky that he'll face an Angels lineup that has really struggled as well against righties. Other than Mike Trout, Shohei Ohtani, and Jared Walsh, the Angels lineup is a disaster analytically, with low ISO and low wOBA across the board.

The Angels have also struck out more than 30% of the time against righties in the last 30 days with this projected lineup. That's terrible.

Meanwhile, Noah Syndergaard will take the hill for the Angels. The righty has had an interesting comeback season. He's 4-6 with a 3.86 ERA on the season. However, he's got a 5.92 xFIP in the last 30 days with just 14.6% of strikeouts.

Gone, are the days of him throwing put-away pitches. However, he's limited line drives to under 15% in the last 30 days, which is really good.

Like Giolito, Syndergaard will take on a bad White Sox lineup. Chicago has a .107 ISO and wOBA of .310 in the last 30 days against righties. However, the White Sox don't strike out nearly as much.

Chicago should end up putting the ball in play more, which will result in a higher BABIP and also result in a win.
