Mets vs. Astros Line Movement

New York Mets vs Houston Astros Prediction

In this interleague matchup today we get to see a real headline caliber showing as two of the league's heavyweights face off. The Houston Astros are up north to take on the New York Mets and I love this spot to back the sluggers from the Lonestar State.

Framber Valdez has been excellent this season and giving the bats exactly what they need each night to have a chance to win when he is on the bump. The Astros are 25-16 on the road this season and 10-4 across their last 14 games. They are playing great baseball and I expect nothing less from that club.

I rant and rave about their lineup and capabilities a lot but that is because I really do believe in them and they tend to back me up quite a bit. Tonight they have a really great matchup and opportunity to do so again facing New York’s, Carlos Carrasco. He is not entirely healthy, to begin with, and has struggled as of late. In 88 at-bats, the Astros have mauled him for 27 hits and a slash line of .307/.344/.470.

I think we are getting an excellent line here to back a hot team against a guy they love to hit. He should struggle and if he does early and it turns into a bullpen game the Astros are really good at finding ways to beat guys. I am on Houston.
