Seattle Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction: Can Adley Rutschman and the Orioles Continue Hot Stretch?
The Baltimore Orioles stunned the Seattle Mariners on the road last night, winning 9-2. The Orioles now currently hold a better record than the Mariners. The Orioles aren't ready to compete in the American League East, but they're competitive and no easy win anymore.
Suspensions were also handed out for some Mariners players after Sunday's brawl. We'll have to wait and see if those players appeal their suspensions or sit out of tonight's game along with the other games each player was suspended for. Does that give Baltimore a chance to earn a series win tonight? Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Tuesday's game between the Seattle Mariners and the Baltimore Orioles.

Seattle Mariners vs. Baltimore Orioles Prediction
The Baltimore Orioles are no longer a pushover. It's been years since we've been able to say that, but the Orioles are currently just four games out from being a .500 ball club. Of course, once the Orioles have to play more AL East teams, their record will drop, but they're competing nonetheless.
Dean Kramer will get the start for the Orioles tonight. He is 2-1 with a 1.71 ERA on the year. However, his xFIP paints a different story, as he has a 5.27 xFIP along with just 16.3% of strikeouts. He's held righties in check for the most part but has allowed a .348 wOBA against lefties in his last 30 plate appearances against them.
J.P. Crawford, Jesse Winker, Taylor Trammell, Cal Raleigh, Adam Fraizer, and newly acquired first basemen, Carlos Santana, are all left-handed bats that can do damage. But Crawford and Winker could be out for this game. That would be a major blow.

Meanwhile, the Mariners will pitch Robbie Ray, who has a 4.87 xFIP in the last 30 days. The left-hander has induced 48.1% of ground balls in that time frame while limiting line drives to 10.1%. That's extremely good, but he will take on a very hard Orioles lineup.
The Orioles have a .255 ISO and wOBA of .395 against lefties in the last 30 days with their projected lineup. Only Trey Mancini and Jorge Mateo have below-average wOBA against lefties.
However, Ray has been worse against lefties, even as a left-handed pitcher. Lefties have a .410 wOBA and ISO of .304 against Ray in his last 25 plate appearances against them.
The Orioles will likely have a full lineup of right-handed bats, so it'll be interesting to see which side shows up. Ray has been dominant against righties but the righties in the Orioles lineup have been dominant against lefties.
At the end of the day, the Orioles lineup looks a lot more appealing than the Mariners' lineup does. On top of that, Crawford and Winker could end up having to serve suspensions for tonight's game and beyond.
I'll take the Orioles on the moneyline here. Why not!
