Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees Prediction: Will Luis Garcia Dominate the Yankees Lineup Again?
We're right in the middle of it people. We're looking at just baseball again today but since it's the last day of June, there's hope. By tomorrow we'll be able to say "there's football next month". It really doesn't make football get here sooner but it tricks our brains into thinking it does. See, being dumb actually helps. In this instance, it's smart. No matter what today is though, we'll have to gamble and on a day like today, I say we go after the biggest game on the slate. There's nothing wrong with a little big game hunting on the last day of June. We've got two first-place teams going at it tonight in Houston and what's even better is the game is televised. Obviously, this is the perfect place to start the night.

Houston Astros vs. New York Yankees Prediction
Luis Garcia Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-155) (Bet $155 to Win $100)
*Odds Available at DraftKings*
We've got choices today people. Big ones too. We could either go over 4.5 (-155) at DraftKings or over 5.5 (+102) at FanDuel. That's a big ass decision because those are two pretty different bets. As much as I hate juice, I'm going in at DraftKings just because I want to keep the heater going. Still, I'll wait to see a lineup before deciding on a ladder approach at FanDuel. I keep seeing 7+ (+220) and it makes me feel alive. I like feeling like that.
This guy is a tough one to nail down, but I think that's a good thing. If you can't figure him out then how will the books be able to? We need to use our brains here people. He's got 74 strikeouts in just 71 innings of work this season so you know he can spit fire. Plus he's got a sweet semi-mullet that curls up in the back. I knew a kid in elementary school with one of those and I always wanted one. Kid was legit.
Garcia is more than just a sweet semi-mullet though. Guy is built like a linebacker and because of that, he throws gas. In six home starts this season, he's gone over five strikeouts in five of them. That includes a start against the New York Mets which is crazy because those guys don't strikeout. The only time he didn't hit five was the time he fanned four Cleveland Guardians. No team in MLB has struck out less than they have. They have 52 fewer strikeouts than the next closest team.
Tonight Garcia will welcome the New York Yankees who are nothing like the Guardians in terms of strikeouts. Over the last two weeks, only three teams in MLB have struck out more than they have. We're talking 123 whiffs in 443 at-bats here people. That's terrible. Going through their lineup, we could see as many as seven guys playing tonight that have fanned at least 26% of the time over the last couple of weeks. If we see Joey Gallo, he's good for two by himself. As much as I hate the juice here unless he gets blown up, Garcia should get at least five guys to sit down.
