Cincinnati Reds vs. Atlanta Braves Prediction

This just feels like a no-brainer. The Reds do hit lefties well but Fried isn’t your average lefty. He has a 7-2 record with a 2.77 ERA. With that being said, I see two reasons people would be cautious but I see past them. Fried already played Cincinnati and allowed 5 earned runs, why would he magically pitch better today? The start against Cincinnati was his first start of the year after a short spring training, I take it with a grain of salt. Secondly, people could argue he has 7 wins in 15 games, this bet loses more than it hits. Fair point, but his offense doesn’t always get to face Mike Minor either.
Mike Minor is just a less southern way of saying Dallas Keuchel, they’re the same guy. They used to be good and respected and now they’re walking batting practice. Minor has an impressively bad 7.71 ERA. Not ideal for Reds fans. The news doesn’t get much better, he faces a Braves team that mashes left-handed pitching. Atlanta hits .263 against southpaws and has cashed us time and time again against lefties. My initial leans were Minor over earned runs or the Braves first 5 team total over but both are priced accurately. Minor has gone 5 innings in all 15/15 starts so we just need him to limit the damage and his offense to show up for him.
I don’t expect Fried to go out and throw a shutout, but he should significantly improve on his first start. The Reds just allowed 15 runs last night for crying out loud, they are a mess. Take advantage of a team that is mentally drained holding a brutal 26-49 record. For minimal juice, this is definitely worth taking instead of taking the insane -275 moneyline. My top pivot would be some form of 1st 5 Inning/Moneyline bet also known as a double result. I really like this bet despite the Reds hitting well against lefties, the Braves offense should wreck Mike Minor who has allowed 22 tuns in 25.2 innings. Just horrible!
