Houston Astros vs Los Angeles Angels Pick
1u - Cristian Javier u2.5 Earned Runs (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)
*Odds available at BetMGM at time of publishing*
We are getting a great number without having to pay much to any juice. Javier has been stellar this year and has respected our cash on numerous occasions. Javier has allowed two earned runs or less in 12/14 games. He only started 10 of those games but he is 8/10 in his games started, not bad either. So why are we getting this prop available tonight? I couldn’t tell you. The Angels look scary because of Trout and Ohtani but when you deep dive it’s not that intimidating. LA ranks in the bottom 10 of runs scored per game and hit .239 against righties. They are far from an elite offense outside of their top two and Javier should keep it up.
Houston Astros vs Los Angeles Angels Prediction
Cristian Javier has a great history vs these Angels, he has faced them twice this year out of the bullpen, and in a combined 5.1 innings over two starts, he didn’t allow a single run. These Angel bats have 30 career at-bats against him and have only garnered one RBI. Javier has really taken a step this year into becoming the best version of himself and all signs point to tonight being another great night. Javier is pitching at home tonight where he holds a 1.95 ERA over seven games pitching. He is 6/7 on the under at home and the only miss was shockingly against a Mariners team who has been getting hotter lately.
Bet $10, Win $200 on any MLB Moneyline
I see Angels F5 Team Total at 1.5 and Javier is projected to go maybe six innings so we’re getting an extra run of insurance for just one inning, I’ll take that trade-off. My top pivot if you can’t get this bet for whatever reason would be Angels u3.5 Team Total for the complete game. Houstons holds the second-best bullpen ERA and there is a world where even Javier could allow three and the bullpen close it down so the pivot bettors win but not the main bettors. We will not speak that evil onto my bet though and I think he dominates once again. In Javier we trust!
