New York Mets vs Texas Rangers Prediction

The Texas Rangers are up north this evening to start their weekend series against their interleague opponent, the New York Mets. New York has dropped three straight including a little two-game mini-series with Houston to start this homestand but are still a very impressive 47-29 on the season.

They are definitely hungry for a bounce-back here tonight and should be able to hit Glenn Otto quite well if things go as they appear. He is nothing spectacular and in the limited appearances against him so far the Mets hitters have done well. The lineup is hungry and at home, they should be fine and motivation is of no concern for me here.

That goes for Texas as well. They had a chance to move to .500 on the season but dropped the final game of the series with Kansas City by a run last night and are now 36-38. You know I love this team and lineup, they have made us a lot of cash this year and I think they can continue that here this evening. They face a southpaw tonight who overall has hit well this season sporting a slash line of .247/.316/.437 for a .755 OPS. Taking down a powerhouse on the road is not easy but neither is getting back to .500 if you drop 2-3 games this weekend.

The wind is blowing out tonight to center at winds of 10+ miles an hour. I love the motivational spot for the hitters to win and the pitching matchup we have here. If you really want to get frisky take Texas' money line as well but I am really liking this total.
