Handicapper and player prop expert John Hyslop is back with another top MLB player prop bet for Monday afternoon. He's looking at the Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins game with his sights set on righty Johnny Cueto.
ANALYSIS

Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins Best Bet: Can Johnny Cueto Shut Down Bryon Buxton and The Twins?

One thing I like to do is pair up two plus moneylines and stagger the bets throughout the day. For example, we already have Justin Steele +145 banger going at 4:10pm ET. Now what we want to do is find another plus money move either before or after that game. No overlap. It has to be either well before or well after. The reason is simple, it keeps the day going longer. On top of extending the action, if you're banging out plus money moves, you only need to hit one in order to profit. That's just how math works.

Lucky for us, I found the perfect move and it's a game that starts after 8pm ET. That pretty much guarantees we'll be gambling for a minimum of six hours tonight if we don't find anything in the early games. That feels like a great way to celebrate the 4th of July.

White Sox vs Twins Line Movement

Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins Best Bet

Johnny Cueto Over 4.5 Strikeouts (+120) (Bet $100 to win $120)

*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*

We're at DraftKings here but we can really play this thing anywhere. FanDuel is offering 4.5 (+116) while BetMGM is hanging 4.5 (+115). That's all pretty much the same thing. Obviously, we want the best number so DraftKings is the spot. Although if you are looking for a ladder, FanDuel is the only spot for those and they have 6+ (+255) right now which feels like a great way to show your appreciation to America. Just a thought.

We all know who Johnny Cueto is at this point. He's a 5'11, 229-pound pitcher who we can trust. How do I know that? Because every man that's 5'11" tall tells people they're six feet tall. Every single one. All of them. Except for Cueto. He's an honest man. I love betting on honest guys and I think it's obvious that we found one in Cueto. He's a class act.

Bet $10, Win $200 on any MLB Moneyline

Another way we know Cueto is a guy we can trust is by looking at his game logs. He's started eight games this season and he's fanned at least five guys in seven of them. In five of them, he landed on exactly five strikeouts which helps the entertainment value of betting on him. This guy has everything. (The haters are going to bring up the fact that he only struck out four Texas Rangers back on June 12th but he didn't even start that game. Had he started the game, he would have easily got at least five strikeouts. Everyone knows that.)

Tonight, Cueto is highly likely to finish right in the 5-6 strikeout window. I highly doubt he'll blow our entertainment dollars by finishing this one up in the second inning too. I think we'll get to the sixth inning with a good sweat going. For America. Cueto has the Minnesota Twins who aren't exactly a team that strikes out a lot but they aren't exactly a team that doesn't strike out either. Byron Buxton, Gary Sanchez, and Jorge Polanco are all 28.6% or more strikeout guys over the last two weeks. Throw in Nick Gordon, Gio Urshela, and Ryan Jeffers and now we have a team that can fan a little. This could be the greatest 4th of July bet of all time.
