Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction: Can the Dodgers Hold off the Rockies again on Tuesday?

Meanwhile, the Rockies are just 35-45 on the season and likely won't be in the hunt in August and September.

But that doesn't mean the Rockies can't play spoiler in the NL West.

Dodgers vs. Rockies Line Movement

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. Colorado Rockies Prediction

It'll be Mitch White on the mound for the Dodgers tonight. White has been solid for the Dodgers, holding a 1-1 record with a 3.93 ERA. He's been filling in for Walker Buehler and has done a good enough job for Los Angeles. In the last 30 days, White has had a 4.82 xFIP with 19% of strikeouts. He's also walked just 5.2% of batters while inducing 48.8% of ground balls. On top of that, White has limited line drives to 16.3% and has ultimately limited power from both sides of the plate. He'll take on a Rockies lineup that has struggled against righties. Colorado has a .141 ISO and wOBA of .283 against righties in the last 30 days. Only C.J. Cron has elite numbers against righties, with a .258 ISO and wOBA of .364 in the last 30 days.

On the other hand, it'll be German Marquez for the Rockies. Marquez has a 4-6 record with a 5.89 ERA on the season. In the last 30 days, things haven't been much better, as he holds a 5.15 xFIP with low strikeouts and high walks. Marquez has also allowed 48.2% of hard contact in the last 30 days and that's never a good thing when going up against the Dodgers. Los Angeles has a .195 ISO and a wOBA of .319 against righties using their projected lineup. There's a ton of power between Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, Will Smith, Justin Turner, Cody Bellinger, and even Jake Lamb and Gavin Lux. All of those batters have had high ISO numbers against righties in the last 30 days. Look for the Dodgers to get going early against Marquez. Plus, White has done well keeping the Dodgers in games. I'll take the Dodgers -.5 in the first five innings at -155.
