Athletics vs. Blue Jays Line Movement

Oakland Athletics vs. Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

The Toronto Blue Jays face the Oakland Athletics from the Coliseum on Tuesday night. The A's enter play as the worst team in all of baseball, but they did pull off a win last night. This team knew it would be a long and rough season before the year began. They have struggled to find any flow this year. This team has some pieces that will be moved at the trade deadline and are looking to rebuild for the future.

Toronto, on the other side of things, is in win-now mode. This team had a ton of young talent combined with some top-notch veterans. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette are two of the best young players in baseball, paired with veterans George Springer and Teoscar Herandez. The Jays look like they will be adding another All-Star to their team in the form of Alejandro Kirk. Kirk has taken the league by storm this season and has arguably been the best catcher in baseball. The Jays are currently fighting for the Wild Card as the division looks like it will be tough to win behind the Yankees. This team is fun to watch and can quickly make a nonbaseball fan a fan. Selfishly I want them in the playoffs to watch the young talent. This is a team that no one wants to see in October.

I am backing the Jays tonight in what should be a really good bounce-back spot. Toronto's bats were asleep last night, and those games happen during a long season. They went out West on the Fourth of July and got caught off guard in game one. They should reset tonight and bring a focused effort against the worst team in baseball.

Yusei Kikuchi gets the ball for Toronto tonight, coming off his best start of the season against the Rays. He should be locked in tonight and limit this Oakland offense, which is one of the worst in the game. The Athletics send Adrian Martinez to the mound with an ERA north of six entering play. This Blue Jays lineup should have a field day tonight.
