Reds vs. Mets Line Movement

Cincinnati Reds vs. New York Mets Prediction

The New York Mets face the Cincinnati Reds taking place from Great American Ball Park on Wednesday night for game three of this three-game series. The Reds took game two last night in a low scoring 1-0 affair. The Mets are a tough team to shut out, but the Reds bullpen was up to the challenge last night. The Mets will look to bounce back today and win the series.

New York has had an outstanding season so far, but the Braves and Phillies are starting to heat up, which is shorting their divisional lead. After being active in the offseason, the Mets entered the season with high expectations. The most notable addition was former Cy Young award winner and World Series champion Max Scherzer. Scherzer landed a massive contract, and the Mets are hopeful it will pay off. Max was having a great season before being injured and looked great in his return last night. Jacob DeGrom has also been injured, and when healthy, he is likely the best arm in baseball. The Mets can not wait to get both of these arms back in the rotation, making them one of the best baseball teams. Today they hand the ball to southpaw David Peterson, who will look to get the Mets back in the win column. Graham Ashcraft will oppose him.

I will be backing the Mets on the minus one line here tonight. Peterson has quietly been having a great season. He enters play with an ERA of just 3.24 and a record of 5-1. The Mets offense seems to step up when he gets the call.

Ashcraft has struggled this season, and this Mets offense is too good to be held down back-to-back days. The Mets rank fifth in the league, scoring 4.74 runs per game. They should have a bounce-back day today and find a way to win this series against one of the worst teams in all of baseball. Let’s cash in on the Mets tonight!
