The Detroit Tigers don’t sweep teams, they just don’t. I know they’ve looked better the last few games but tonight is their kryptonite in Shane Bieber. Mr. Bieber owns these Tigers bats historically. In 152 at bats against him, he has allowed just 10 RBIs. Only allowing one run every 15 batters is impressive. Bieber should go late into this one, I also like his over 18.5 outs, but I’m going with this because I’m a Michael Pineda hater.
Pineda didn’t look great in his first return since coming back from his injured finger. He allowed 3 runs in 5 innings to a lackluster Kansas City team. Pineda hasn’t been awful this year but watching him pitch, I see him get lucky on numerous occasions hanging balls in the middle of the plate, and he’s due a game he gets hit really bad. Cleveland has to be frustrated with their efforts in this series and should compete very hard to make sure to avoid a sweep.
Shane Bieber has a 2.51 away ERA and is about to be pitching in one of the most hitter-friendly parks, I’m expecting a gem from him. Cleveland's offense hits righties at a .252 clip, and Pineda doesn’t look settled in just yet. This is the game Tigers come back to reality. I know I said I wasn’t touching Tigers games for a while, but I don’t believe in banned lists. I look at each slate individually and find the best value, we’re getting Bieber To Record A Win against a team he dominated for plus odds. I have no choice.
