MLB Parlay Picks for Wednesday: Cash In With This Expert's +596 Parlay
Due to popular demand, we're adding an article at Oddschecker that consists of two parlays. I'm going to add two different parlays, one being a moneyline parlay and the other being a totals parlay in the MLB daily. You can always mix and match these parlays where you see the value! Head to the Oddschecker MLB Odds grid to see complete odds for every game today on the board.
MLB Moneyline Parlay Picks (+375) (Bet $100 to win $375)
- Angels (-165)
- Phillies (-225)
- Rays (+105)
Shohei Ohtani will get the start for the Angels tonight. He's got an xFIP of 2.37 in the last 30 days with 36.4% of strikeouts. Meanwhile, the Marlins don't have much consistently at the plate against righties and have a .155 ISO and a wOBA of .290 in the last 30 days against righties. On the other hand, it'll be Trevor Rogers for the Marlins. The left-hander has a 4.77 xFIP with 12.3% of walks. The Angels should be able to score enough with Ohtani on the mound.
It's Aaron Nola day for the Phillies. Whenever he's on the mound, the Phillies have to be confident. He has a 3.59 xFIP in the last 30 days with 27.1% of strikeouts and 2.9% of walks. He's been lights out. Meanwhile, the Nationals will pitch Josiah Gray, who has a 4.49 xFIP in the last 30 days. Gray rarely gets ground balls and allows a lot of fly balls. The Phillies' power will come through again.
There's no reason why a prospect should be a favorite against a veteran pitcher. Brayan Bello will take the mound for the Red Sox. He's a solid prospect for the Red Sox but will take on Corey Kluber of the Rays. The Red Sox don't have great numbers against righties to begin with in the last 30 days. I'm going to side with the veteran over a prospect who could fold quickly in his debut.
MLB Total Runs Parlay Picks (+596) (Bet $100 to win $596)
- Rangers vs. Orioles Over 9.5 (-105)
- Cardinals vs. Braves Under 8.5 (-110)
- Giants vs. Diamondbacks Under 8.5 (-115)
The Rangers will send out Glenn Otto, who has been awful in the last 30 days. He's got an 8.84 xFIP in the last 30 days with very low strikeouts and high walks. The Orioles' lefties and middle of the order have plenty of power to go up against Otto. Meanwhile, Spenser Watkins will take the mound for the Orioles. He's been better but will take on a Rangers lineup that limits grounders and hits a ton of line drives. I'm on the over here.
Max Fried and Miles Mikolas will face off against one another tonight. Both have ERAs around 2.60 on the season. Fried has a higher xFIP in the last 30 days, while Mikolas has been a bit worse. But he's been consistent with high enough strikeouts and low walks. I know both offenses can get hot at times, but I'll trust both of these pitchers to continue what they've been doing all year long.
Merrill Kelly is holding an xFIP of 4.06 in the last 30 days for the Diamondbacks. He's also earning 53.8% of ground balls and limiting walks at a high rate as well. He's going to look to help the Diamondbacks get a sweep over the Giants. San Francisco is struggling offensively and just hasn't been consistent at all. On the other hand, Alex Cobb has a 3.80 xFIP with 53.7% of ground balls induced. He'll take on a Diamondbacks lineup that has a .135 ISO and wOBA of .278 in the last 30 days against righties. I'll side with the under in this game.
