2022 MLB Futures Prediction: Will Jose Abreu, Tim Anderson, and the White Sox Reach the Playoffs?

I am adding a future play to the MLB season as I found one that I love. It will be centered around the Chicago Whtie Sox. Entering the season the White Sox, we’re a decent-sized favorite to win the AL Central. They were one of the favorites to win the American League and the World Series. Their current price to make the playoffs sits at -115 on DraftKings Sportsbook. That is a bet I am all over.

As we stand today, the Sox are six games behind the Twins in the division and four and a half games out of a wildcard spot. This is a team I expect to have a massive turnaround in the second half of the season. They also play in one of the weakest divisions in baseball. The Twins are the real deal, and I am happy about that as we are on the Twins season team total over but outside of Minnesota, there is no other playoffs team in my eyes in the AL Central.

The Guardians have had a good first half of the season, but this is a team that will fall off due to a lack of offensive production. The Tigers and Royals are very beatable teams that they will see a lot more this season. Their schedule the rest of the way is fairly easy, and I believe they capitalize on this. This is a loaded roster that has just been underperforming partly due to injuries.

The Sox now have Luis Robert and Eloy Jimenez back in the lineup. They should be getting Yasmani Grandal back as the season goes on as well, which will be a nice boost at the catcher position. This is also a top-end staff in my eyes, with Dylan Cease, Michael Kopech, Lucas Giolito, and Lance Lynn. They have the guys to get the job done, and they will get the job done.
