1u - Atlanta Braves 1st 5 Innings/Moneyline / ATL o1.5 Team Total (-115) (Bet $115 to win $100)
When these double result bets have high juice it’s always smart to Same Game Parlay it with a correlating bet for reasonable odds. I’ll explain exactly how to place this for anyone new. On DK go to the ATL vs. WAS game and select “Same Game Parlay” in that green text. From there you will scroll over to where it says “Innings” and then select the 6th option down that says “1st 5 Innings/Moneyline” and select ATL Braves/ATL Braves. Now that you’ve got your one leg you need your other, scroll over to “Game Props” and the first thing you will see is alternate team totals for Atlanta, select over 1.5 team total. This added leg will only cost us if Braves win this game 1-0. That’s the only way the double result can hit and the 2+ runs would lose.
We need a lead after 5 innings and Atlanta to win outright. Atlanta has the 4th best bullpen in the MLB so if we have legs after 5 innings I like them to shut it down. On the mound for Washington is Erick Fedde, this man can’t figure these Braves bats out. Fedde has a career 9.97 ERA vs Atlanta and in 9 starts he has allowed 4+ earned runs in 7 of 9 games. The other two he allowed 3 and 2 runs, the guy can’t figure them out. Against these specific bats he has allowed 28 RBI’s in just 102 at bats. Fedde has already faced Atlanta this season and allowed 3 runs in five innings, if he does the same I like our chances.
On the mound for Atlanta is Charlie Morton. Morton isn’t as reliable as he once was but has shown flashes this season. In the last 26.2 innings pitched we have seen Morton only allow 4 runs. That’s about one run every 6 and a half innings. Although I think he allows 2 runs or so tonight I think that’s an encouraging sign that he’s pitching better baseball. I’ll be honest though, we just need Morton to play decent, I don’t need prime Charlie here. This bet is heavily reliant on Fedde’s awful history vs Atlanta. I could just take a Braves Team Total over but this feels safer. For those without DK, I made a SGP on FD with the double result and it was -140 which I still think is playable. Offshores always have this market at a good price too so I’m hoping this is widely available. Let's rock!
