Atlanta Braves vs Washington Nationals Pick
1u - Braves 1st 5 Innings/Moneyline (-125) (Bet $125 to win $100)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
There are so many ways we could attack this game but we’ll go with the bet type that’s widely available. I also like Kyle Wright To Record A Win and ATL -0.5 First 5 Innings but I like this one.
Atlanta Braves vs Washington Nationals Prediction
Atlanta usually comes through for us, they did yesterday. I’m backing them again, I trust the champs. Braves annihilate lefties, there’s no secret. They hit .256 against lefties but they hit for massive power more importantly which will translate into runs. Patrick Corbin has been awful this year with a 5.68 ERA in 17 games pitched.
Some might argue that Corbin looks improved in his last two starts only allowing two runs in 15 innings. We have to address who he has played though. The Marlins and Pirates both hit .220 for no power against lefties, tonight Corbin goes back to his old ways of being batting practice.
Bet $10, Win $200 on any MLB Moneyline
I’m expecting him to allow at least three runs but it could get uglier. The Braves have 44 runs in eight games in July, that’s 5.5 a game. Corbin has been bad this year and the Braves crush lefties, everything points to an offensive masterclass by Atlanta.
Kyle Wright is on the mound for Atlanta and he has a 2.91 ERA on the year. He has been up and down but lately, he’s been good again. In his last two starts, he has allowed just one run. This actually matters though because it has been against good bats. He accomplished this against the Phillies and Cardinals, two teams that are more intimidating than the Nationals.
The Braves also have the fourth-ranked bullpen as we discussed yesterday so if the Braves lead after five innings I like their chances of keeping that lead. Running with the same play yet again, let's become bigger Braves fans today.
