Boston Red Sox vs New York Yankees Best Bet: Can Xander Bogaerts and the Red Sox Bats Get Hot?
I try to be as positive as possible at all times but sometimes you have to point out the bad parts of situations. Take Sunday for example. We've got every team playing and the action usually starts around noon. That's called upside. But the dirty little secret no one talks about is the fact that there's only one game at night and it starts at 7:00pm ET normally so it's over pretty early.
If you don't bet this game, then your day is done before the sun even goes down. That's just not how Sundays are supposed to be lived. Not even close. The reason I'm saying all this is because I almost forgot to bet the Sunday night game tonight. I have no idea how that happened but it happened. Lucky for us, I caught it in time or else we would have been in gambling hell. Nobody wants to go there.

Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees Best Bet
Boston Red Sox Team Total Over 4 (-105) (Bet $105 to win $100)
*Odds available at FanDuel at time of publishing*
This one is hanging proudly at FanDuel as we speak. If you're playing at DraftKings, you have to bet 4.5 (+115) which isn't terrible but it's a completely different bet. On top of that, BetMGM has 4.5 (+120) so you might as well just go there and get that. They also have alternate team totals so if you wanted to do 5.5 (+190), you could just do that. We've got options here people.
Boston Red Sox vs. New York Yankees Prediction
I wanted to go pitcher strikeout prop here but if we're being honest, the books nailed both of these guys. You could look at those numbers all day and not find any value whatsoever. Plus being the last game of the night, your night could be done by 8:30pm ET. That's not great. What the hell would you do then? We need to be thinking ahead and while I don't like betting sides, taking a total makes sense in a night game like this. We could get the coveted down to the last at-bat sweat which would be nice.
Lucky for us we've got a team in the Red Sox that could get this number in the first inning. Hopefully, for our entertainment dollars they don't but they could. We're talking about a team that has scored more runs than every other MLB team but five. On top of that, they've scored at least five runs in each of their last three games. They've literally only missed on this number once in five games against the New York Yankees so far this season.
Boston will get treated to Jameson Taillon tonight which is pretty sweet for people who like to watch other people get jumped. This guy is a human piñata lately. Over his last 16 innings of work, he's given up 14 earned runs. That's terrible. The Oakland Athletics scored three runs off of him. That's like 10 runs to an MLB team if you look at the conversion chart. We already saw Boston touch up Gerrit Cole for five runs in this series. Why won't they be able to get it going against Taillon?
