San Diego Padres vs San Francisco Giants Pick
1u - MacKenzie Gore u2.5 Earned Runs (-125) (Bet $125 to win $100)
*Odds available at DraftKings at time of publishing*
This prop is so interesting because the sportsbooks are inconsistent with what they think will happen in this game. MacKenzie Gore's outs prop is set at 15.5 with juice on the under so they think he goes exactly five innings. The team total prop for San Francisco against Gore is set at 1.5. If you like the over you would definitely take the first 5 over 1.5 team total but we like the u2.5 earned runs prop more. Gore has already shown he can dominate this Giants lineup. In late May he threw six innings of three-hit baseball and only allowed one run, that would be amazing if he replicated that.
San Diego Padres vs San Francisco Giants Prediction
Gore is 10/13 on this prop and the Giants' offense really doesn’t scare me. San Francisco bats hit .232 against lefties and have struggled lately against southpaws. Blake Snell and Tyler Gilbert are the last two lefties to pitch against the Giants and both only allowed one run. The Giants haven’t been swinging a hot bat whatsoever, they have 34 runs in their last 12 games. That is less than three runs in a complete game on average. We just need Gore to not allow 3+ earned runs in his 5-6 innings pitched.
The cool thing about this market is that these are earned runs so if we see the Padres defense making costly errors that turn into runs it won’t count against us. We have won bets like this before where the other team scores three runs but only two are earned runs against the pitcher. Gore has a 76.9% hit rate on this prop and the opponent isn’t one that should give us any reason to be too scared. Sundays are always tricky so this will likely be our only play of the day because day games are weird, this is a good one though that I’m proud of. Let's stay hot!
