Los Angeles Angels vs. Houston Astros Prediction: Can Cristian Javier Dominate Shohei Ohtani and the Angels?
There are so many games today in MLB it's not even funny. I know they're starting at noon but I did something a little different. You have to mix it up sometimes to keep things fresh. Everyone knows that. So what I did was start with the last game on the slate. Usually you want to start with the first games obviously but again, you gotta mix things up sometimes. Plus the last game on the night fits perfectly into the new system I created. It's a battle between the Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels and it's on at 9:38 pm ET. What's even better is it's being carried on MLB Network so we all watch this thing cash. I have to be honest, there's no chance this bet loses.

Cristian Javier Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+120) (Bet $100 to win $120)
This banger is just sitting at FanDuel as we speak staring bettors right in the face. The same can be said for DraftKings and BetMGM but they've only got 7.5 (+105) so there is that. It's definitely still playable but the people playing at FanDuel are going to make more cash when this thing wins. That's just how math works.
I'm a pretty big Cristian Javier guy at this point. Anytime there's a guy that has 102 strikeouts in 74.2 innings of work, I'm interested. Sometimes the books go too high on these guys but sometimes they go too low. This is a case where they went a little too low. It's not their fault though. It has to be tough to price a beast like Cristian Javier. He could fan 14. Or he could fan four. It really depends on what he feels like doing that night.
Lately this guy has been very hit or miss. In his last five starts, he's only covered this number twice. But in two of those games, he reached seven so it's not like he's missing badly. It should also be noted that the two games he was stuck on seven were against the Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals. Neither one of those teams are great to target for strikeouts. Everyone knows that. The other game he failed to hit eight Ks was against the Chicago White Sox which doesn't even count since they never strikeout. He still got five of them to sit down so there is that.
Tonight Javier will see the Los Angeles Angels which is like a gift from God. I spoke of a new system in the introduction and it involves the Angels. What I like to do is wake up, open my sportsbook app and then blindly bet the over on the pitcher's strikeout prop that's facing the Angels. They legit have nine guys that could be in the lineup tonight that are all over 30+% strikeout guys over the last two weeks. As a team, they are striking out in 35% of their at bats over that span. That's Little League bad. Javier just struck out 14 of them a couple weeks ago. There is no way he leaves this game with less than eight strikeouts.
