We are going to start this glorious Saturday with one of my favorite theories in all sports betting: If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. All season long, we have done very well cashing in on particular teams and spots in regard to totals. The Texas Rangers are probably the leader of the pack. We have cashed in on numerous totals at Globe Life Field down in Arlington, and we have an opportunity to do so again here this afternoon.
Seattle is still as scorching hot as they were when this series started and have now won twelve consecutive games. I said in my article on Thursday that as long as they roll momentum forward, the bats will stick with them, and they have. We cashed in on the total here in this spot the first two games of the series already, and we have another opportunity to do so here with the pitching matchup we have today.
Spencer Howard is on the bump for the Rangers, but he is nothing to write home about. The righty is 1-1 with an 8.04 ERA in limited time on the bump this year. In his lone start this season, he went just three innings, conceding six runs and four long balls. On the other end for Seattle is Logan Gilbert, who is a much more established pitcher in the league but still very hittable.
Texas had a chance to make that push for .500 and have battled hard for it but ran into a red hot team here with Seattle. They now have to be hungry with the bats and should be as they have a chance to get something out of this series with a win here. They have hit Gilbert very well historically. Slashing .299/.319/.480 against him, and I can see that spurring up here again today. Let’s get this in three straight.
