2022 MLB All-Star Game Best Bet: Can Vlad Guerrero Jr. and the American League Get To Clayton Kershaw?
The midseason classic will take place from Los Angeles on Tuesday night as the National League will battle the American League. This game will be filled with baseball's biggest stars.
We saw a great show last night when Juan Soto outlasted Julio Rodriguez in the home run derby. Albert Pujols put on a show of his own when he knocked out the number one seed in Kyle Schwarber. This is what all-star game week is all about, and now tonight, we get to kick back and watch the best of the best go toe to toe.

2022 MLB All-Star Game Prediction
The starting pitchers tonight will be Shane McClanahan and Clayton Kershaw. McClanahan is having the best year of any pitcher in baseball. Kershaw is not having the best year of any National League pitcher but is getting the opportunity to start this game in front of Dodgers fans at his home stadium. Kershaw will be heading straight to the hall of fame when the time comes, and this will be his last all-star game in LA.
Sandy Alcantra is having the best season in the National League, and if this was any other season, you would likely see him starting tonight. Alcantara will be in action tonight, still likely following Kershaw.
The American League has dominated this series as of late, winning eight straight years and winning twenty of the last twenty-five seasons. The National League dominated the series for years, but the momentum has shifted as of late. The play I am going with here tonight will be to back the team total of the American League.
I am going with the over at 3.5. If you look at this lineup, it is hard to think that they can not muster four runs. I could see them getting a run or two off Kershaw early, which should set the tone for the game. I also have a theory that we will see the juiced baseballs tonight.
At the end of the day, the fans want to see home runs, not strikeouts, all night long. The American League has gone over this number in four of the last five seasons, and I believe their lineup is too deep not to be able to get four runs tonight.
