The Dodgers have won 8 straight games at home heading into Friday night. The Giants blew a five-run lead in Thursday's series opener in the seventh. Handicapper Jason Radowitz gives his best bet for the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants game.
ANALYSIS

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction: Will Joc Pederson and the Giants Bounce Back?

The San Francisco Giants found themselves down 5-0 in yesterday's game but came all the way back against the Los Angeles Dodgers, only to lose 9-6. The Giants are currently just 48-44 and could end up finding themselves back around .500 if they don't turn things around soon against the Dodgers.

The Dodgers lead the NL West by 10.5 games. However, currently, the Giants are 13.5 games out of the division and just dropped a game last night. Here are our picks, predictions, and odds for Friday's game between the Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants.

Dodgers vs. Giants Line Movement

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Francisco Giants Prediction

The Dodgers will send out 2022 All-Star Tyler Anderson for tonight's game. Anderson is 10-1 on the season with a 2.96 ERA on the year. In the last 30 days, Anderson has had a 5.11 xFIP with 14.9% of strikeouts earned. He hasn't been as good as his actual record and ERA.

Against righties, Anderson has struggled a bit, allowing a wOBA of .332 and ISO of .188 to his last 108 right-handed batters faced.

On the other hand, San Francisco has destroyed lefties in the last 30 days. The projected lineup has a .329 ISO and wOBA of .443 in the last 30 days against lefties. Only Austin Slater has a low ISO number in the lineup against lefties in the last month of baseball. The Giants have literally hit 25.7% of ground balls against lefties in the last 30 days, and 24.8% of line drives against lefties in the last 30 days. They've been tremendous against lefties.

Meanwhile, it'll be Logan Webb on the mound for the Giants. Webb has a 9-3 record with a 2.83 but was beat out by guys like Anderson for an All-Star selection.

Webb has been better. In the last 30 days, Webb has had a 4.11 xFIP with just 6.3% of walks. He's also earned 57.8% of grounders and has given up just 15.6% of line drives.

The Dodgers have been extremely good offensively against righties, however, hitting a .248 ISO and wOBA of .371 against righties in the last 30 days with their projected lineup. The Dodgers have more weak links in their lineup, but a much larger sample size against righties than the Giants do against lefties.

In reality, the Dodgers could have success against Webb tonight. That's a bit harder to predict. The matchup between the Giants and Anderson has me feeling much more confident. I'll take the Giants Over 1.5 in the first five innings on the team total. Just give me two runs with that San Francisco lineup early.
