Oakland Athletics vs. Texas Rangers Prediction

Texas has had an up and down season as they have not been able to get over the .500 hump. Texas still has a chance to sneak into a playoff spot while Oakland is already looking to the future. They blew up a good part of their team in the offseason and will likely add to that once the trade deadline hits. They have a few pieces that could help a contending team.

Texas was aggressive in the off-season, inking deals with a pair of all-stars in Corey Seager and Marcus Semien. Semien has had his struggles this season but is a guy that can turn it around at any point. Seager has had a stellar year for the Rangers as he was named an all-star again this season. Seager also participated in the home run derby and was eliminated in the first round by Julio Rodriguez but tuned in a good performance.

Texas will send Matt Busch to the bump tonight, and he will be opposed by James Kaprellian, who gets the ball for Mark Kotsay and the As. 

I will be backing the Rangers on the money line here today. This should be a nice bounce-back spot for Texas after losing yesterday's game. I believe in this Texas team and that they are capable of going on a nice run. They have the lineup to do it, and if their pitching can hold up, this is a dangerous team.

Oakland is a limited team when it comes to swinging the bats, and I believe that the Rangers will shut them down today; this should be the perfect spot to back Texas at a solid price.
