Seattle Mariners vs Houston Astros Prediction
The Mariners took a monumental fourteen-game win streak into the all-star break that sprung them into the postseason. They knew this would be a tough series facing one of the best teams in baseball, and their bats have been in check in the first couple of games. Houston continues to dominate the AL West, and it appears they will be cruising to another division championship. This is a team that is loaded top to bottom and is still missing one of their best bats in Michael Brantley.
Despite the Astros losing stars like Carlos Correa and George Springer, this remains a top-tier team. Seattle has to be happy with where they are despite losing the first two games of this series. They will be sending their best arm to the mound today in the form of Robbie Ray. Ray won the Cy Young award last season and inked a deal with Seattle. His numbers overall are not great, but he has found his form as of late. Framber Valdez will toe the rubber for Houston as they look for the sweep.
I am backing the Mariners as a dog today on the money line. I Do not fade Houston often, but I love this spot today for the Mariners with their backs against the wall and ace on the mound. I expect Ray to turn in a solid performance and for the Mariners bats to wake up in this series. Despite losing the first two games of this set, this is still a confident lineup that can get going at any point. If they can score three or four runs, it should do the job behind the arm of Robbie Ray. The value here is too good to pass up. Let’s cash in!
