Royals vs. Angels Line Movement

Kansas City Royals vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction

The Los Angeles Angels face the Kansas City Royals taking place from Kansas City on Monday night for game one of this American League affair. These two teams have had seasons to forget so far, and both could be sellers at the trade deadline.

Kansas City is certainly expected to sell, and they have some great pieces that can be moved. Andrew Benintendi has had a great year earning himself a trip to the all-star game. It is highly likely he will be dealt at the deadline. This is a team that has already moved on from veteran first baseman Carlos Santana.

The Angels will be in an interesting spot as their season appears to be a lost cause at this stage in the season. The season's first month was promising, and it appeared they had a legitimate chance to win the AL West. They took on one of the longest losing streaks in baseball this year, and that has put them in a tough spot to go on a run. It feels like this team wins only when Shohei Ohtani is on the mound.

The Angels did pull off an upset yesterday when they beat the Braves, and they will look to feed off of that tonight. We will see a pair of veterans on the bump tonight as Noah Syndergaard gets the rock for the Angels, and Zack Greinke will oppose him.

I am looking at a total here tonight. We will be backing the under in the first five innings. This should be a good spot for the under with two veteran guys on the mound. Syndergaard's numbers do not look great, but that is due to a few awful games. He has been good in most of his starts this season. I trust that he will be able to handle this limited Kansas City offense. Greinke continues to be rock solid for the Royals. The Angels have one of the worst offenses in baseball, so I would be surprised if Grenkie struggled with them tonight. I think we get a snoozer early in Kansas City tonight!
