Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers Prediction

The Texas Rangers will clash with the Seattle Mariners on Monday night in Seattle for an AL West showdown. The Rangers are fresh off a win over the A's but lost the three-game series 2-1.

The Mariners entered the All-Star break as the hottest team in baseball, winning 14 games in a row. They came back to life over the weekend after being swept by the first-place Houston Astros. The Mariners will look to bounce back at home against this Texas team. Despite being swept Seattle has to be proud of where they are at.

This is a team that will be in the mix all summer long for the wild card. Texas will need to turn it on fast if they want to have any chance of being a playoff team. The pitching for Texas has really struggled this season, and it has been the main reason that they are losing games this season.

They have been inconsistent with the bats, but their offense is certainly their strong suit. Seattle got their bats going a bit yesterday, scoring five runs late in the game. They will look to feed off of that in tonight’s game and get their offense rolling. The Rangers will send Glenn Otto to the mound tonight, and he will be opposed by Mariners starter Chris Flexen.

I am backing Seattle tonight in a game that they should bounce back and take at home. They check all the boxes for me tonight, having the better arm, and I trust them more on the offensive end of things.

Otto has been a solid fade this season, and I expect the Mariners to take out their anger from the weekend on him tonight. Texas has not shown me enough consistency to trust them in a spot like tonight. I believe we are getting a steal of a line tonight, so I am all over Seattle on the moneyline. Let’s cash in!
